Zhang Jian
Professor of Tsinghua University

Dr. Zhang Jian, a distinguished professor at Tsinghua University, currently serves as the director of the Automotive Electronics Research Institute at the Suzhou Automotive Research Institute of Tsinghua University. He leads a team dedicated to the development of automotive electronics, intelligent in-vehicle communication, and information systems. Dr. Zhang has been instrumental in the development of the world's first connected car project, OnStar, in collaboration with General Motors in the United States. Under his leadership, the team has developed the first set of in-vehicle digital telephone buses, which has increased communication speeds by a remarkable 38 times. Dr. Zhang has also made significant contributions to the field by establishing a Chinese language voice database and pioneering the development of a Chinese in-vehicle remote speech recognition system that is not specific to any individual. His work has been widely adopted, with technologies such as connected car voice control via Bluetooth, anti-pinch car windows, and whole vehicle diagnostics being integrated into the offerings of six different automotive manufacturers.

Xu Cangsu
Chief Robot Designer

Dr. Xu Cangsu, a distinguished expert in internal combustion engines, holds a Ph.D. from Zhejiang University. He has been instrumental in leading more than ten major research projects, including the National Key Science and Technology Special Program, the National Natural Science Foundation Program, the National 973 Program Initiative, provincial and ministerial level science and technology programs, and major horizontal research projects from companies. Dr. Xu has authored more than 120 academic papers, with over 60 of them indexed in the Science Citation Index (SCI), and has been granted seven national invention patents.

Wu Haixiao
Senior Electrical Engineer

Dr. Wu Haixiao, a Senior Electrical Engineer, holds a Ph.D. from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics. He has served as the Senior Manager of the New Energy Power System Department at SAIC Maxus Nanjing Technology Center and is currently the Deputy General Manager at Nanjing Aolian New Energy Co., Ltd. Dr. Wu also serves as an enterprise mentor for graduate students at several universities, including Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics and Nanjing Forestry University. He has been instrumental in the development of new energy power systems for multiple automotive companies, such as SAIC YUEJIN and Nanjing Iveco. Dr. Wu has been granted over 10 invention patents and has received numerous accolades, including the Jiangsu Province Science and Technology Award, Nanjing City Science and Technology Progress Award, and Jiangsu Province Mechanical Industry Progress Award.
